These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases of products and services from Goodmix Limited ("Goodmix", "we", "us", or "our") by trade, commercial, and institutional customers who acquire the goods for the purposes of a business. If you hold an approved trade account, our separate Trade Account Agreement applies instead. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.

Products
Our products include off-the-shelf granular fertiliser blends and custom blends formulated from soil test results. Product descriptions, nutrient analyses, and application rates are as stated on the product label.
We take care to ensure product information is accurate. If you believe there is an error, please contact us before use.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are exclusive of GST (15%) unless otherwise stated.
Payment is due at the time of order unless you have a pre-approved credit account with us.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price confirmed at the time of purchase.
Orders and Acceptance
Orders are placed in person or by email. An order placed with Goodmix is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. Your order is accepted when we confirm it in writing (by email) or dispatch the goods.
For custom blends, orders are accepted once we have confirmed the blend specification with you and received payment or a confirmed purchase order.
Delivery
We deliver within the Hawke's Bay region and can ship nationally throughout New Zealand. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on your location and courier availability.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are delivered to your nominated address or collected by you or your agent.
Delivery charges, if applicable, will be confirmed at the time of order. Minimum order quantities or values may apply for free delivery or certain delivery zones.
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
By placing an order under these Terms, you confirm that you are acquiring the goods for the purposes of a business, and that the guarantees set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply to your purchase, to the extent the parties may lawfully agree this.
Returns and Refunds
We want you to be satisfied with your order. If there is a problem, contact us as soon as possible at daniel@goodmix.co.nz.
Return conditions:
- Claims for damaged or incorrectly supplied goods must be notified to us in writing within 5 business days of delivery
- We will not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect product ordered unless agreed in writing
Returns of opened or used product will only be accepted where a product fault is established. We do not accept returns of product that has been mixed, applied, or stored incorrectly.
Application and Results
Our fertiliser blends are formulated to provide nutrients as stated on the label. Application rates, timing, and results will vary depending on soil conditions, climate, grass type, irrigation, and other agronomic factors outside our control.
We do not guarantee specific lawn outcomes (e.g., growth rates, colour improvement, or weed suppression). Our products are designed to provide the stated nutrients — results depend on how and where they are used.
Always follow the application rates and directions on the product label. Over-application or misuse may damage turf and is the responsibility of the user.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Goodmix's total liability to you for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage, including loss of profits, loss of yield, or cost of remediation
- We are not liable for loss or damage arising from misuse, incorrect application, or failure to follow label directions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.
Soil Testing and Custom Blends
Where you request a soil test through Goodmix (conducted by Hill Labs), you agree to Hill Labs' own terms and conditions for that service.
Custom blend recommendations are based on the soil test results provided and standard agronomic principles. We take reasonable care in preparing custom blend recommendations, but we do not guarantee specific outcomes. You are responsible for reviewing the recommendation and confirming it is appropriate for your property before ordering.
Intellectual Property
All content on goodmix.co.nz, including product descriptions, blend formulations, and branding, is the property of Goodmix Limited. You must not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without our written permission.
Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, provided directly on request. By purchasing from us, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in that policy.
Disputes
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at daniel@goodmix.co.nz and we will work to resolve it promptly and in good faith.
If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, either party may refer the matter to mediation, or to the Disputes Tribunal (disputes.govt.nz) for claims within its jurisdiction, before commencing further legal proceedings.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes that proceed to court will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll provide you the current version directly on request. Your continued use of our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
